Smith’s are delighted to announce Lenie Potgieter has joined as Senior Manager of Research and Development

 We are delighted to welcome Lenie Potgieter to Smith’s as Senior Manager of Research and Development. Originally from South Africa she has a wealth of experience of product development in the refrigeration market. Most recently she worked on freezer technology used to store the first COVID-19 vaccines. She also has experience of large-scale district heating systems as well as domestic hot water systems.

Outside work Lenie enjoys reading, socialising with friends and has a passion for hiking and wild camping having recently enjoyed hiking part of the Cape Wrath trail, Scotland.

She plans to complete the forthcoming Seven Sisters half marathon trail run.

Lenie will be driving our product development as we look to launch new heating and cooling products over the next few months.
