Read moreRepresentatives from across the independent merchanting sector have taken part in the 2023 NMBS Golf Day.
This year, the annual event took place at Woburn Golf and Country Club, Buckinghamshire and the sun shone for the day.
Over 90 players drawn from across NMBS’ 1000+ merchant members and 450 building industry supply partners turned out on the day for a round on The Marquess Course. Set within 200 acres of mixed woodland the Marquess’s course overlaps the county boundary dividing Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and presents a variety of rolling and undulating terrain. The course was named after the then Marquess of Tavistock and was soon referred to as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’.
The day featured a shotgun start which enabled all players to tee off and finish at a similar time.
After all players had completed the course, a number of prizes were awarded including:
Best individual score:
1st place – Tim Payne – South Coast Building Supplies
2nd place – Andrew Ritche – Cyclomarket
3rd place – Jack Vincent – Hanson Cement
Longest drive – James Snell – Invicta Tools

“We’re delighted that this year’s event was so well supported and we would like to thank everyone who attended.”
