Makita’s New Powerhouse Performers

Leading power tool manufacturer Makita has expanded its high torque impact wrench range with the launch of some impressive new models. All powered by Makita’s 40VMax XGT Li-Ion battery, the brushless 40VMax XGT TW002G, TW003G and TW010G Impact Wrenches provide unparalleled torque and extended runtimes that replace the need for pneumatic impact wrenches for tightening and loosening large diameter bolts.

TW010G 40VMax XGT 25.4mm (1″) Square Drive, D-Handle Impact Wrench

The top of the range TW010G provides an excellent combination of heavy-duty power and manoeuvrability for professionals tackling the most demanding of tasks – offering an incredible 4,000Nm of nut busting torque and up to 3,1500Nm of fasting torque.

The TW010G Impact Wrench is equipped with a long reach, extended anvil making this model the ultimate solution for deep-seated bolts and confined areas – where standard wrenches fall short.

Built with high-durability construction and innovative vibration suppression, the TW010G incorporates full-speed mode which minimises trigger travel to reach maximum speed instantly, while the 4-stage power selection allows users to tailor rpm and torque to the demands of any job. It is suitable for use with standard bolts ranging from M27 up to M45, and with high strength bolts from M20 up to M33.

For enhanced accuracy in low-light conditions, the TW010G features a LED ring light that provides superior 360° illumination to reduce socket shadow and offer exceptional visibility. It also features a 360° D-handle engineered with toolless installation, allowing for the side handle to be positioned quickly and easily for any job. There is also a tool hanger ring included for support for hanging the tool on rigging when needed.

For working in in tight spaces and fastening bolts in steel structures, a short anvil version (TW009G) with all the same features as the TW010G is due to join the line up in the summer.

TW002G and TW003G 40VMax XGT 12.7mm (1/2″) Square Drive Impact Wrenches

The new TW002G and TW003G also join Makita’s impressive line-up having been developed from Makita’s popular TW001G, with a new tip shape of the anvil to provide users with more choice when working on various applications. Suitable for use with standard bolts ranging from M12 up to M36, and with high strength bolts from M10 up to M26, both feature a 12.7mm square drive anvil, with the TW002G designed with a friction ring anvil and the TW003G utilising pin detent socket retention.

Despite their compact design, these new products from Makita provide excellent performance for continuous, heavy-duty applications – the TW002G Impact Wrench delivering 2,200Nm of nut busting torque and 1,700Nm of fastening torque, and the TW003G Impact Wrench delivering 1,600Nm of nut busting torque and 1,360N of fastening torque.

Electronic 4-stage impact power selection enables users to control the power and speed depending on the applications and in both forward and reverse, the tools will stop impacting in order to prevent over-tightening fasteners, or losing them from them spinning off. Both tools also feature dual LED job lights with one below the anvil and one at the base of the tool for added illumination in low light environments.
