BETTER WATER MANAGEMENT WITH K-BLUE

 29 Aug 2024

With a greater awareness of Britain’s polluted waterways and the impact this is having on wildlife and human health, construction companies and contractors must do all they can to support more sustainable water management systems in our built environment.

Ensuring the safe transmission of water from source to destination, and minimising water loss and preventing leaks is crucial.  The use of appropriate and proven pipework is key for achieving this and delivering clean drinking water to homes across the country, safely.

Kalsi Group supports many builders, developers and contractors in meeting these demands with its K-Blue System and product range.  These MDPE pipes are the unsung heroes of the British water distribution networks renowned for their durability, flexibility and resistance to corrosion and chemicals.

Typically installed in underground trenches, K-Blue products are used to connect mains water supplies into homes.  Robust and heavy duty the K-Blue range is manufactured to BS EN 12201-2: 20011 and PE80 WRAS approved.  The P16 fittings are tested and approved by WRAS for permanent above and below ground installations for potable water.

But it’s not just about the pipework.  The fittings are important for preventing leaks and water loss.  Precision engineered at the Kalsi Group manufacturing facility in Birmingham, the fittings are shock resistant and can absorb mechanical stress and withstand temperature changes.

The heavy duty elbow, coupling, tees, adaptor, conversion reducer, pipe liner, stop tap and end plug are quick and easy to install as loose pieces with no need for tools, they can be tightened by hand.
